WALKING FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Established in 2019, the Cumberland FA Walking Football League has continued to grow from strength to strength as the format for Over 50s has encouraged many retired players to come back to the game as well as introduce new players to the game.

LEAGUE ENTRIES FOR 2024 ARE NOW OPEN

With no running, jogging or heading, walking football is a fun and safe way for players to enjoy football and socialise together. The slower pace, lack of physical contact and social cohesion offers an environment that is full of physical, social and mental benefits.

The monthly programme provides an opportunity for players to play at a central venue followed by refreshments to allow teams and officials to chat and network.

Beginning in March 2024 with a festival, the monthly games programme also provides League and Cup competitions with the final event taking place in October.

The Cumberland Walking Football League welcomes new and existing teams. Entries are now open and must be received by 5pm on Thursday 8th February 2024.
